I’m Liz, the Executive Pastry Chef turned Squishy Maker behind it all.
I’m a proud Cuban American Latina, born and raised in Miami, Florida, where pastelitos, palm trees🌴, Beaches🏖️ and big flavors were part of everyday life. Since I was 10, I dreamed of being in the kitchen—and that dream led me to become a professional pastry chef with a degree in Baking and Pastry and over 28 years of experience in restaurants and hotels.
I’ve always loved baking and decorating, especially turning desserts into beautiful, creative pieces of art. But one thing that always broke my heart was the amount of food waste. So much good food was thrown away—and we weren’t even allowed to take it home. That stuck with me.
That’s why I started Squishie Bakery.🧁
I wanted to create something that brought people joy and creativity without waste. A way to play with your food, decorate it, squish it, love it—and never have to throw it away. With Squishie Bakery, I found the perfect way to turn my lifelong passion for sweets into something people of all ages can enjoy again and again.
Now based in California, I design each squishy with that same baker’s love.
Handmade in small batches with soft, slow-rising, high-quality silicone gel. From pastel cakes to cute emotional support animals🐾, everything is made with care to help you fidget, focus, and feel good.
